Lorelei
Lorelei, Lorelei, my Lorelei
For you I lament, for you that I cry
On an ill-fated wind is an evil that rides
Waxing, and waning with withering tides
A boon to the locusts, a feast for the flies
Her heart chilled in that somber night’s breeze
Soft whispers from death, brought on her disease
Haunted by shadows with unnatural pleas
Darkness grew around her, so twisted and foul
The rats they would gather, the wolves they would howl
It frightened to flight the hoary night owl
Lorelei, Lorelei, my Lorelei
For you I lament, for you that I cry
I followed her footsteps down that darkened hall
To infernal depths my supernal angel would fall
But I loved her; I loved her, in spite of it all
Her sweet voice intoned, the spell that she sung
As her lips drank away the blood of the young
Corrupting and killing her soul was undone
Never to walk again in Sol’s holy light
She abides now within the Plutonian night
The breath of the plague; the bringer of blight
Lorelei, Lorelei, my Lorelei
For you I lament, for you that I cry
